I feel that this would work better with the information physically printed on a real manila envelope, perhaps with your portfolio printed on nice paper inside. The cool thing is, if you use a manila envelope as your base for the design, it's still file-able so the Human Resources people won't hate you.
It's possible to make the sticker-like elements real stickers, too, as well as making your own big GRAPHIC DESIGN stamp. Incorporating a real stamp would be awesome, too. That would make your resume seem more real!
I like the idea of a resume being on an envelope, just not a print-out of a manila envelope on a sheet of paper, if that makes any sense.
